Marie Tomeoki is a contemporary, acrylic artist from Japan who promotes mental health awareness through art, public speaking, and social media. She came to me to update the design of her website in a ‘responsive – CMS’ format in both English and Japanese, with a blog and e-mail and subscription sign-ups, incorporating SEO and Google Analytics configuration. Marie also asked me to come up with branding, business cards, and custom photography to promote her work. In addition I wrote several articles that can be seen in the written section of the site, and helped with setting up social media channels to promote Marie’s cause.
After researching other artists websites, I based the design on a ‘responsive’ CMS WordPress theme. The site includes: Google Analytics (for demographic analysis); SEO; social media marketing; the facility to be updated by the client; the option for video and blog in the future; subscription and e-mail sign-ups, and most importantly it is compatible with all types of media (mobile, tablet and pc / laptop).
The site is styled to be clean, modern and current, whilst promoting mental health awareness and the artist’s art – in a clean, responsive online gallery.
